Very interesting!

I'm waiting for a couple of books to arrive so I picked up this book that's been sitting looking neglected for a while. So interesting! It talks about how the fields of medicine and aviation learn from failure...or don't. Aviation is responsible for very few deaths but investigates to the nth degree when accidents happen so that they never happen again. If the stats in this book are to be believed errors happen at a staggering rate in medicine but the mechanisms for learning from these mistakes just aren't there. Really interesting.

Oh, I got loads taken off my hair today and had some of what was left dyed pink! Guess whose 50th is on the horizon. I'm such a cliche...and yes, I'm thinking of getting a tattoo.
