Hassle

 A day of hassles. 

Morning was spent melting a bit of ice outside the door making it difficult to open it completely. Was hard as a rock and it took a surprisingly large amount of hot water to melt just a small portion which was blocking the door (extra).

Went to IKEA after a very long time. Had been wanting to get a proper stand/shelf for my record player and modest collection of music. Today I finally ended the procrastination and bought this one. Even though the end result is okay I have to admit it was quite frustrating. I didn't expect the package to weigh 12kg, so, it was not fun at all having to carry it all the way home in public transport. Quite long walk to and from the bus stop plus one change of bus. And then the hassle of setting it all up - IKEA manuals are a bit hard to make sense of, at least for me. Oh and the cardboard box gave me two bad paper cuts too. Never again, far easier to just buy pre-assembled products!
