Testing Testing

After last night's exuberance it was wonderful to get a lie in and not to have any ill effects. S had that for the both of us bless him.

I spent a very productive few hours sorting out a couple of my wardrobes and things to take to the charity shop. Then it was back to bed with tea and some research books and fragrance planning for the lip balms I'm planning on putting through certification next. Not a simple one as many essential oils are phototoxic and can't be used in lip balms. I have some good ideas on combinations though that I'll test out this week.

We decided to try a new takeaway in Penicuik, the menu sounded fab. We ordered a lot of different dishes to try, the dumplings were excellent but sadly everything else was pretty mediocre, darnit. Oh well you need to try these things.

Oh, and the candle is a 3-wicker with a new fragrance (bird of paradise flower) so I'm testing both. Pleased with the melt pool, hot scent throw, and wick performance in the first 3 hours of burning. The fragrance is incredible, have a feel g this will be a best seller in due course - it's gone straight on to my 'new fragrances to launch' list. This one is a beast though, almost 3 times the size of a normal candle so going to take a long time to fully test. Just in time to make one up for my customer for the start of March as long as I give it a good burn every day.
