Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Thursday — Dinner in Santa Barbara

After my laser treatment #8 today, we drove to Santa Barbara where we enjoyed dinner on Stearn’s Wharf. The glare on the window can be seen in my photo, but I’m not looking for perfection; no, I am though capturing a memory.

Mr. Fun had the steak; I enjoyed the Pequod pasta. He ordered his with a bowl of clam chowder, and with mine, I asked for the salad. The pasta included mussels, shrimp, and lobster on a bed of linguine with a clear garlic sauce. Both entrees, his and mine, were delicious. It was date night.

While we dined we watched the last of the lobster boats returning to the harbor, along with numerous sail boats, a catamaran, and several sailing schools, probably from the university or possibly the community college, with the instructor in a motorized boat.

Without a lot of fanfare, but definitely a band of admirers, the sun slipped below the top edge of the not too distant hill and everyone sighed with wonder when the burning brightness was gone. And then we finished dining and toasted to a day that was more than enjoyable.

Good night from
the Pacific Ocean,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
