Cyclone Dovi

All last night and until early afternoon we were battered by the tail end of Cyclone Dovi.  The winds were horrendously strong and there was also heavy rain.  The trees, shrubs and flowers in the garden took a real knock, much to hubby’s despair.

As I was unable to venture out, I took screenshots of two photos on one of the news sites, showing a car crushed by a tree in an Auckland suburb, and the harbour bridge in Auckland, which was closed as it was too dangerous for traffic to use.

There are 810 new cases in the community, a “sharp increase” on yesterday’s 454 new cases.
