Snow!!

Woke to yet more rain beating down on the van and a very cool 9 degrees!  Hard to believe that just over a week ago I was sweltering in about 30 degrees up in the North Island.  

I decided to head towards Ashburton via the 'scenic route' and it was part way along this wild and woolly route that this pic was taken.  See the snow?  All fresh!  And there was even a little snow falling around me as I stepped out of the van to take pictures.  Tucked up nice and warm in Methven tonight though - showered, roast chicken and veges for tea, internet reconnected.......luxury!  Off to Ashburton in the morning then I'll take some time to think about my next phase.
