Pentlands

It was a walking day with friends and 16 people turned up which was great.
We started at Dreghorn, crossing the slip road to access the Pentland Hills in order to go up Capelaw, Allermuir and Caerketton.
It was moderately windy as we set off but nothing prepared us for the howling winds on the tops.  We took an early lunch using the shelter of a wall ( first photo), before setting off to finish the main bit of the walk.  We thought that the winds were probably up to 70 miles an hour and for the first time ever I was completely knocked over! ( just into some grass-so no damage done)
However as you can see the views were great and we all enjoyed ourselves.
