Salty the old sea dog

Its been raining non-stop here, so it definitely seemed to be a good day for some indoor photography.  I've returned to the last chance saloon, last seen here.  Cathy took one look at today's shot and came up with the character's name when she described him as a miserable old salty sea dog. :-)

I really enjoy portrait photography, I definitely need to find some willing victims in the year ahead though to save you all from yet another selfie.

For those that are interested, this one makes use of a speed light in front and above the subject as the main key light.  I've also added a bounced light onto a reflector from the left in order to reduce some of the shadow on that side.
