Tree stump

Today I took Smoochi for a walk after wrapping us both up to be warm in what is a very cold wind today turning into a rather wet & windy afternoon.
We walked past this house that I was pleased to see is now occupied; it's been empty for some years, each time I walk past I think it looks so sad & unloved with it's overgrown unkempt garden & walls collapsing.
So it looks like whoever is living there has decided to chop down the large tree's, the cut looked so smooth & I was sad that it had been cut, so I reached out to put my hand on it "sharing the love" & it was extremely sticky. I think it's a type of Fir Tree.
