Trepidation

I was asked to volunteer as a "guest student" for a sea kayak assessment today. Always keen to get on the water, I agreed.
I arrived at beautiful Lunan Bay early and, with a sinking feeling, remembered that it's known as a "surf beach"...
The last time I paddled into and out of surf, I capsized.
My heart sank as I watched two surfers, a SUP-surfer, and a kayak surfer play - seemingly effortlessly - in the morning waves.
Yes, I capsized. Again.
Another hard lesson...
