Long line

This is Elsa, my friend Kate's gentle & good natured Airdale, and it is her 3rd birthday today.

Elsa is currently undergoing a course of chemotherapy as cancer of the bowel was diagnosed just before Christmas. It's not a cure, but she is responding well and is currently full of bounce.

Sometimes Elsa forgets that when the whistle is blown she is supposed to come back :-) So at the moment she is being walked with a "long line" attached, so that if necessary one of the children can jump on the end and retrieve her.

The necessary clipping because of drips being used for the chemo & hair loss make her look a bit tufty - but she's not doing bad for a dog we thought, at one time, wouldn't make it to her 3rd birthday!
