Scottish Islands

When I was a teenager, I hitch hiked on the western islands with my sister and a friend; there were no hostels on the islands in these days and we took b&b in Stornoway, and hitched to the Callanish Stones and the pictish broch at Dun Carloway.  I have ever since then been quite fascinated by the Scottish islands and have visited quite a lot of them in the years since.

Today has been the most miserable of days weatherwise, with heavy rain all day.  I got soaked coming home from church and haven't ventured out at all for the rest of the day.  

I enjoyed having a browse of some of my books on the islands, and have blipped a couple of them for your interest.
