Communication

Today's mono subject is communication.  
I have shown the telephone handset, a pad and pencil to make notes on  the information you have been given, and of course the essential  telephone directories to obtain the number you need to dial.
These seem to be used less and less now with the growth of mobile phones, text messages and emails.  The phone book itself is not so important now either, as our old friend Mr Google can supply the number you need.
However, in my opinion, nothing beats a good old chat on a landline.
