Apple of my eye

This started off as forgetfulness but has kind of turned into a troubling experiment.
We bought these apples on the 20th of December. They’re a bit wrinkly but I would expect worse in a centrally heated room for nearly 2 months. Plus it’s south facing with big windows.
I will check again in April. .
