A grand day out

Continuing with our arrangements to help Josh and Ruth out during their Covid isolation, Richard and I took Eben across to Hull this morning, to the aquarium on the edge of the Humber estuary - The Deep.
The weather was horrible this morning, non-stop heavy rain, so an indoor 'outing' was a good bet.
One of the exhibits he really got engrossed in was this illuminated globe (main). By spinning a coloured band with details of sea levels, you could see the world flood or dry out. It was one of many well-designed exhibits on  climate change themes.  The extra shows a rather ominous-looking glittery piranha.
The Deep has a transparent 'tunnel' section where you can see sharks and enormous rays glide past over your head.  This was pretty magical, as were the tanks with tiny seahorses and shrimps.
When we came back, Eben continued his campaign to beat me at chess, but I held him to a stalemate this time. And I taught him how to play Chinese Checkers.
