One in one out keep moving
After the excitement of the ice hockey game in Nottingham yesterday, another early start was a bit of a challenge.
Amber was in kennels in the village overnight, so B walked round to collect her, whilst I got ready to attend my health check at the surgery with the nurse.
The check was interesting, BP, weight, loads of blood taken for numerous tests and a wee sample sent to the lab for kidney function. It was very much a standardised tick box exercise, I wasn’t asked about my current health issues. She did ask if I would have a shingles jab, which I agreed to, as I’ve had the infection about 10 years ago and it was not pleasant :0(
I did enquire about the antibiotics which were prescribed on Friday, but have still not materialise!!! The scrip was ‘pinged’ to the pharmacy at 5.18 Friday and is still ‘absent without leave’.
I headed for the pharmacy and found my ex neighbour on duty. As she set out to investigate I got a message on my phone to say that the tablets were ready for collection!!!
Back home to have breakfast before setting out for another sewing session. B dropped me off with my kit and took the car away (limited parking space). He was back at 2pm to reload me and I dropped him off at table tennis and headed home. The weather was absolutely atrocious and I didn’t expect to be walking up to the village hall at 4pm with Amber to meet him. It was blue skies and mild by then, so we got our exercise.
Sewing was good, plenty of interesting things and a call for me to assist one of the ladies with her eye drops following her recent cataract surgery. Once a nurse always a nurse!!!
It’s Valentine’s Day today, but with all the rushing about we exchanged cards at dinner time. I was delighted to receive this tapestry as my gift, much nicer and longer lasting than chocolates and flowers. Perfect choice of design……William Morris!!!!
A quiet evening in front of the TV doing my knitting.
