Today

Weather wise, it was just awful - cold and miserable, with often heavy rain. Activity wise, it was a lovely day. I've had so many of them recently. 

Ralph called for a while for coffee, and Jean arrived late morning, making the journey from Kent in hardly more than an hour!. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch at the White Horse in Great Baddow where although the meal wasn't the best I've had there, the ambience of the place makes it easy to enjoy our ourselves and forget about the weather.
