First shoots

This miniature rose shrub is just emerging from its winter sleep'  I'm surprised anything is surviving the awful winds we're experiencing.  The car alarm went off while being battered by hailstones and when it brightened, I had to go out and sweep up all the tiny stones that are being dislodged from our fairly recently rough-casted walls.  If I don't do it, they are trailed into the house.
