Storm Dudley

Storm Dudley is rattling the windows and we brace ourselves for storm Eunice that will be barrelling in on Friday.
 
But how do you capture the ferocity of a storm? If you live near the sea then you have the waves, which offer great photo opportunities.
I have yet to succeed in capturing an image of trees waving around in the wind or rain lashing down that does justice to the wildness of major storm.
 
Any suggestions? 

PS. How do they come up with the names of storms? just wondered.
