Mayor Island (Tuhua)
The view from our coffee break this morning before we left for our trip homewards. Tuhua is a dormant shield volcano that last erupted six or seven thousand years ago. It's been a wildlife refuge since 1953 and a partial marine reserve since 1993. The rest of the day was spent ambling back with a couple of other stops along the way. Our lunch stop was at Morrinsville which is the home of many cow sculptures, the one in the extra is Moofanwy by Hally Barlow. Many thanks for the hearts, stars and comments over the last two days.
