No way through

Not a great photo but exemplifies my hike yesterday.  I was in the Ocala National Forest, trying to find a trail someone told me about.  How is that for vague?  And where was the machete when I needed it?  Oh well.  Good walk in the woods even if I couldn't find the lake I was looking for.  My friend showed me photos of a kiosk with information about mounds found at the edge of a lake.  BUT...he couldn't remember exactly how to get there or if the lake had a name, just general quadrant.  I'm not the only one hunting for it now.  My other hiking friends Pat and Lorna were at the dinner and are hunting too.  We have divided possible locations between us and will solve the mystery!  I'm reading Douglas Preston's LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD which has me laughing at myself as I bash through the forest.  I'm such an intrepid adventurer.  :-)
