Charing Races

A great day at the point to point races with friends in my village today. Sadly no winnings but I treated myself to a new purple hat. One race I put a bet on “My Place at Midnight” because the jockey wore purple. I also bet on Chapelier, Josh the Plod and Sparkle and Shine. How do they come up with these names?

Great atmosphere in the micro pub after, dogs galore and rugby on the telly. Scotland won much to the disappointment of Kate who was singing “Swing low, sweet chariot!” at the top of her lungs. Such fun.
