Back in the saddle

I got back on the bike today for my first pedal commute of the year. It didn't start well... I was getting my bike out in a snow flurry at 7am and the back tyre was flat - dodgy valve. So I replaced it with my only spare inner and set off hoping I didn't get a puncture.

This shot was taken halfway home about 30 seconds before I discovered my front tyre going down with a big nasty hawthorn sticking in it. Luckily I had some patches which did the job. Regular peddler called Colin kindly stopped to check I was OK. Told him how impressed I was watching him cycle the route over the winter as I passed in my warm car.
