My Mini Adventure

Herne Bay

It’s windy, but it was so sunny today. We are so glad we went to the seaside and blew away all our cobwebs.

This is Amy Johnson the incredible pilot whose plane mysteriously went down just off the coast of Herne Bay in 1941.

L was very taken with her story, the bronze statue of her looking out to sea and especially with the wooden plane she could sit in and pretend to fly.

We had a good walk, fish and chips (of course) and even an ice cream, although we sat indoors to eat it or it might have blown away!

Home to baton down the hatches before storm Eunice arrives through tonight.
