Indoor Project
Needed an indoor project because of the storm today. Ventured to the end of the garden to collect some lichen-encrusted bits from the poplars (probably shed prior to this actual storm) & set one piece up against an old log on a roof tile (props I've used many times). The image is of a section about 16cms long, taken at an angle, focus-stacked from 50 images using CMN to take them once I'd set things up & Zerene Stacker software to assemble them. Learned to do the retouching by comparing different versions in Zerene Stacker - actually quite easy once I remembered the keyboard shortcuts. Not too displeased with the outcome as a technical exercise, but could have improved the lighting. Had lights from both sides, probably equally, & it's too bland I think - or should have separated the branch from its background.
