Wild Wednesday ...

... female red-bellied woodpecker.

With the weather being mild today (48°F) I spent some lovely time on the back deck.  Sadly, there weren't all that many birds or squirrels present but I did manage to capture this beautiful red-bellied woodpecker way up in the tree.  I was surprised it was decent enough to blip considering the fact that I only had the 300mm lens.

I did see other birds cavorting around ... including some tufted titmice which I don't see often enough.  I hope they continue to make regular visits to our yard as I love them so.
