The Old Rope Drum

A late blip today, ( don't know where the day went )
Anyway during an evening walk, I got this shot of this old rope drum. It stands at the bottom of Halifax lane in the village of Luddenden. The drum was from Oats Royd Mill. It was here where I started work at the age of 15, ( I hated it ) I didn't stay long.
The mill closed in 1982, and partially burned down in 1989. Like many of the mills in this area, what remained of it, is now apartments.
