April in Spain

By John Banville. I found this book a bit slow to get going, but it's now quite gripping.

A duvet day today, although interrupted by J coming back to fit some washers to the boiler and a telephone engineer calling in trying to fix my landline problem. He didn't, but said a colleague would be out over the weekend to sort it. He says it's due to the recent weather, clearly many things can be attributed to that. I'm extremely glad not to be in the south of England, Storm Eunice has been wreaking havoc.
