Helena Handbasket

By Tivoli

I've begun to catalogue the differences

between Chatham and Henley;

- Chatham is on the estuary of the river Medway and so is tidal.
Low tide is muddy and reveals dead shopping trolleys, bicycles and traffic cones.
- None of the above is true of Henley-on-Thames.
Mermaid statue may enjoy a traffic cone tiara?

- Popular cars in Chatham are Fiat (500), Dacia or Kia
- Popular cars in Henley are 'Rovers (Land/Range), BMW or Porsche

- Supermarket staff in Chatham are often friendly older women without a decent pension and who wear a sunflower lanyard
- Supermarket staff in Henley are often friendly youthful students at Henley College who are confident and working out where they fit in modern society
