all is calm, all is bright

This is Dumfries High Street in the middle of the day, when I was out for a walk during my break from work; quiet, as was the cafe. I think many people were staying at home, out of the cold wind and possible snow (which never reached this far south).

The concert which we were going to tonight was postponed (musicians unable to travel up from London) so instead we have a cosy night by the fire and a film to watch.

I know that some parts of the country have had it bad today and I do worry that these events will become more frequent and severe as the climate continues to change.
