Storm, what storm?

It was pretty rough all morning. Locally many trees down, fences down, falling tiles, power cuts, schools closed etc. Similar reports from pals in London. 120mph winds registered on the nearby Isle of Wight, a record. Here expect they reached 80mph.

Kept myself busy cleaning out kitchen drawers, so distracted from the events outside for a couple of hours.

By 2’ish the winds died down and blues skies, sunny. Had a neighbour for a cuppa at 3:30, so took a quick stroll down to the beach and back up via the zig zag. Was relatively sheltered by the cliffs, but a strong cold wind by the pier.

Going to make a hot chocolate (Green & Black ‘vegan’)
