What can a cat do on a windy day?
Easy! I took these photos at intervals between around 10 am and 4pm. She decided to go and eat after that. Then a quick look out of the back door, then back to the windowsill. She's had a hard day. She's still there now at 21.10.
The wind raged all night. When I opened the door in the morning the noise of trees blowing around sounded like the constant sound you get from a motorway. But less damage than expected in general, I think. Though there were lots of trees down. Tragically, an empty watering can I had left out in the garden got blown over!
Just when I had to leave for my regular monthly injection (B12), a heavy hail shower happened! I live on a hill with two corners, and was worried the road would be too slippery to drive on, but it melted quite quickly. Normally passing cars would clear it but few people went out today.
For all I said yesterday about the local health system, it was interesting that most schools had decided the day before that they would close today, and the main hospital in Truro announced it would be closed to outpatients. But the local GP practices all opened. I was told that many patients had cancelled because of difficulty travelling, and advice to stay at home., but all the patients in my position had turned up because they really wanted their regular injections!
