Sun and Snow

After two days of snow the sun finally came out and showed a world fll of soft new snow. Once again the sun had real warmth, but in the shadows the temperatures were well below freezing.
This photo shows one of the annual transitions. I'm on the patio at the Red House, and up until today the shadow of our main house kept this area cold for much of the morning as it passed by. But today the sun was high enough to clear our house and the sun shone onto the patio for several uninterrupted hours.
It'll be soon time to sit out there and enjoy the combination of snow and warm sun.
After my meeting in town yesterday I was fairly tired so my blip didn't get posted. But now I've fixed it and it's in place.
