Part 1: complete

Dropped pooch off for his holidays. Our dog sitters live in Yeadon...an hour from us and the difference in weather was incredible. Storm Eunice clearly favoured West Yorkshire as I dropped Bruno off in torrential rain and wind.

Back home, bags in the car and to the train station. We'd ummed and ahhed about train vs car to get to Gatwick Airport. Neither were appealing but after some research we decided to stick with train. It arrived pretty much on time, but travelled slowly due to the weather, turning a 2 hour journey into 4... At Kings Cross we cheated and hopped in an Uber to the airport. Frivolous but we were tired and needed food and a bed.

Quick bar meal for tea.

Premier Inn hotels always hit the mark for us. Cheap and cheerful. Ava made me laugh by making faces through the door peephole.

Tomorrow we fly and drive to Abetone. Hopefully. And Sunday we ski. Hopefully.
