Pub Portrait - Plod
In my occasional series of Friday night pub portraits, here is Darren, first of the Young Uns to feature.
I've known Darren since I was 9, when he came to our primary school.
So that's Darren

Darren
Everyone in this group has more than one handle, and yes he is a Policeman.
He's dressed in a suit as today he got his Long Service Medal for being an old copper, and got dropped off before he could change. He could never change.
A Citeh fan, a cricketer and the current bass player on our band. I say current but he's unlikely to be replaced even though he taught himself from scratch.
For his 40th, he sang vocals on one song as a surprise for all those at his party. Soon after our then bass player, our original bass player, had a 50th and declared that he only wanted to play half a set, and spend the other half with his friends.
We were his friends!
So Darren taught himself bass, and played much better bass than Mark from his first gig. Weather with You gave it away.
Soon later Mark retired due to ill health and Darren took over, and is still there today.
