Nymphal skin

Travelled north to Snells Beach this morning. As we passed through Avondale to reach the Motorway north we passed a dozen or so unmasked protesters waving signs; I guess in solidarity with the Wellington chaos.I find the irrationality of the opposition to public health measures hard to understand. It may be that New Zealand was too successful in preventing the overwhelming of Intensive Care services and consequent deaths. Consequently, unhappy people become susceptible to conspiratorial claptrap.

At Fidelis, I went out to the shed for something and saw the abandoned nymphal skin from the last moulting of a cicada.
