No bikes at parkrun

While bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, etc are not allowed at parkrun, we share the prom with lots of others going about their Saturday morning activities. While we were chatting after finishing our run this morning, this chap went past on his penny farthing. Not a sight we see every week!

Beautiful morning for parkrun with very little wind. There was a small patch of ice on our run out which had to be carefully negotiated (most of us walked at that point) but we were well warned by a marshall when we approached and there were no casualties. It seemed to have melted by the time we returned to the finish. 

My extra shows the blue skies and distant snow-covered hills which was the view as we arrived from the car park. Many of the Scottish parkruns were cancelled this morning because of icy routes or waterlogged courses, so we were very fortunate.
