River Leader, The Borders

Few days of back-blipping about to commence ...

... been down in The Borders for a bit of a break, staying just on the edge of the village of Earlston.

And despite some inclement weather (including a few storms!), we've managed to fit in several good walks - starting late on Wednesday afternoon, with a wander along a nearby stretch of the River Leader.

This snap shows 'R' as we approached the footbridge over the river, just along from Cowdenknowes Mansion, which was a few hundred yards from the cottage we were staying in. Water was incredibly brown, from all of the recent rain/wash-off!
