Tree Down at South Pond

came down yesterday, I had to go into Midhurst this morning and walked by the pond in the way back to the car. 
One path is blocked by this.  A passing man said that looking at the trunk it was probably about100 years old.  Sad to see.  
Apart from a few gulls on the water everyone else, the ducks geese and goslings, were wisely sheltering unseen. 
The weather is quieter this afternoon.  
We lost power for several hours yesterday which thankfully was restored by late afternoon.  I feel for those still without power, and the families of those who have died by the effects of Storm Eunice.
