No Kingfisher

I was taking some shots, when a woman who lives right next to the canal walked towards me. 'Have you seen the kingfisher?'  'Not today,' I answered, adding that I had seen them before. I didn't go looking for this particular kingfisher as in my experience, it would be likely to draw a blank. But if there is one about, they are territorial, I will stumble upon it sooner or later.
