After Storm Eunice
The Bird Table had been felled be yesterday's brief but intense storm. Wood Pigeons, starlings and squirrels were out feasting on the fallen goodies. A squirrel was seen exploring his new play area. The table survived and is now upright. A & I walked to the shops via the nearby Methleys where a couple of trees with railings had been toppled (see extra).
Soon an icy rain began to fall, we were both happy to be home when the large feathery flakes began to drop down vertically, no wind to stir them. I took a picture of the snow fall through a window with a reflection of a ghostly white-painted house amongst the trees at the bottom of our NDN's gardens. The snow has stopped leaving a shallow layer of pretty white stuff which I expect will melt soon enough.
Pair of Robins and Dunnocks seen at feeders today.
