Snow good for gardening

Storm Eunice has now blown itself away towards Scandinavia so I thought I would have a quick look around the garden to find any damage and to start picking up all the fallen branches.  The damage is limited to an elderberry tree that has snapped off at its base.  I think the tree was diseased so it's a shame but no catastrophe.  I had just started to gather the debris when it started to drizzle and then decided to snow.  I made the decision that the branches could lie on the ground a little longer and that I was better off inside with a cup of coffee and my jigsaw puzzle!
