Gorse

Today is a special day for me and I decided to have a morning in the Lakes.  Last night at our camera club we had a Zoom presentation on flowers-a creative approach.  This was very good and eye opening.  Well worth watching.  I've included the YouTube address for you:

This shot was taken on a macro lens, using a tripod and a remote control.  I intended to take pictures of water including long exposure and most of my photos were of water, but the gorse took my eye.  One of the thigs shown during the presentation was close cropping and blurred or textured background.  The day was grey, but the sun came out this afternoon.
