Freddie the cat and us humans only ventured outdoors to save the cover blowing off the garden furniture at the height of storm Eunice. Was quite bracing and wild with record 122 mph wind gusts causing havoc here in Essex and London. Some neighbours lost their huge ancient Birch tree, which came down across the whole road and took the power line with it. So we hosted them for a warm dinner and warm house.
After Eunice had passed, I went to East Hanningfield to spend a cosy evening by the stove with middle brother and sister in law and a rather nice bottle of sherry. Lots of gossip and laughter in between ailment comparisons !! Another late night, crept back in feeling like I was a teenager living at home again :0)
