Waverley Telephone Exchange - East London Street

What a beautiful blue skied sunny afternoon.  I waited until the temperature warmed up a little before going for a run.  Going up and down the streets of Edinburgh's New Town to just past Broughton Street this building caught my eye.

Doing a  little research back home I found out it's a BT telephone exchange.  This three storey modernist building designed in 1964 by Robert Saddler is a  "significant example of 1960s public architecture in Edinburgh".  The decorative coloured tile panel over the former main entrance was made by Malkin-Johnson Tiles and attributed to the designer Ken Clark MBE.
