Birthday Bubbles

It has been a wonderful evening.

After the usual manic day at school (because of an early Easter, my birthday has not fallen in the holidays for the first time that I can remember), I went home to get ready.

J was due to arrive at 7 and we then went to Mum's apartment for pre-prans, before leaving for El Oceano. This is a lovely hotel and spa, right on the beach, just a short distance from my flat.

There was champagne waiting and the food was superb. Johnny Baker was crooning at the piano and the dining room had a wonderful atmosphere - even for a Tuesday!

If you have to have a birthday, this is definitely the way to do it!
