Not all tests are created equal

Of course, from tomorrow our glorious yellow clown emperor will withdraw free testing, people will therefore stop testing, the reported infection rate will go down and he will bray that 'covid is over'. But the virus can't read and would not listen if it could. So people will continue dying, especially poorer people for whom the expense of tests will be more significant and who are also more likely to work in close contact with other people and thus spread the disease faster.

Thus the idiot clown will level us up: kill enough poor people and everyone will be rich, right?

And, in due course, another variant will appear and covid will not be over, after all. But somehow the yellow clown will not be to blame, any more than he was to blame for partying while his subjects (as he, no doubt, thinks of them) died alone.
