Bijou Garden
Or a woodland scene, perhaps.
We got this at the craft fair at Newmarket racecourse some years ago. The potter, an American lady, had carefully gathered mosses and other tiny plants to concoct a miniature garden in this container. It looked really good.
The passing years have not been kind to the details on the edge of the depiction, and we've long stopped refilling the garden, but it remains an interesting and attractive little ceramic piece.
This is not an emergency blip: I have long meant to try to photograph it and it's not because there's another gale howling outside with horizontal rain and low scudding cloud. No, not at all . . .
