Abandoned

I have no idea how these two long stemmed red roses came to be lying in the middle of a country road for hours today. Driving back and forth past them in the morning and again this afternoon, I assumed they must be plastic flowers but on the 4th time past them, I had to stop to see and I am so glad I did. They are now safely in a vase in my house - I don’t really want to think too deeply about the reason for ending up where they did but I shall enjoy them for as long as they bloom.
