Mojitos, Margaritas and Mamma Mia
Today signed the long-awaited and long-overdue trip to London with my friend Sue! Sue has known me since I was one day old, and my parents and I have done crazy things like visiting Sue in Bolivia when she was living and working out there. It was so nice to have a catch up, and have a day in London like we used to in the old days.
Only, unlike in the old days, today we were able to sample a selection of fabulous cocktails along the way ;). We visited the British Library and then took a stroll along Southbank, and stopped for lunch and a Mojito on the way to the Tate Modern (see, we did fit some culture in to the day). We met up with Sue's old friend Martin in the afternoon for a few hours, and found a cool little Mexican restaurant to quench our thirst (they sold slush puppy margaritas, omg!) Today's photo is of the lampshade in this little Mexican place, which was entirely constructed from Corona bottles. Great design, not sure if my photo does it justice!
Sue treated us to tickets to Mamma Mia at the theatre in the eve which was just incredible: their voices were fantastic, the humour was great, and we even got to have a boogie at the end. Hah. Having a rum & coke (gin & tonic for Sue) waiting for us in the interval, and taking a bicycle rickshaw back to St Pancras station after the show truly made for an unforgettable day. Thank you so much. Lets not leave it so long next time!!
